Farm Water Source Brochure (792 KB)

The Farm Water Source Program is a co-operative venture between Water Stewardship (The Manitoba Water Services Board) and Agriculture Canada (P.F.R.A.).

Adequate supplies of suitable water for farm needs are often difficult to obtain in Manitoba. Together, P.F.R.A. and The Manitoba Water Services Board (M.W.S.B.) provide a comprehensive farm water source development program to assist Manitoba farmers in developing a satisfactory water supply to meet their needs.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be bona fide farmers.
  • To obtain assistance, farmers must make application to P.F.R.A. and/or The Manitoba Water Services Board before starting construction.
  • Projects must meet established standards and specifications.
  • Where approvals for licences are required, these must be obtained prior to payment of grant.
