PROGRAMS OVERVIEW [français]

The Housing Corporation has several different housing programs designed to meet the specific needs of their clients. For some, this means renting as a way to access proper housing, for others, this entails owning their own home.

Rental Programs are operated and maintained by Local Housing Organizations (LHOs), with funding provided by the Corporation and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. The Corporation also provides funding to the LHOs for major repair initiatives to homes as they are required.

The Corporation also has many homeownership programs. The Corporation assists families that can afford the operating costs of a home to purchase or build one, as well as aiding people to make repairs to their existing homes.
