Collection
[Logo]

Special thanks are due to Ruth Holmes Whitehead for the decades of work she has contributed to educating people about the Mi'kmaq First Nations and their culture, and for the twenty-five years she has spent developing the Mi'kmaq Portraits Database. Thanks are also due to Project Manager, David Christianson, who, with Dr. Whitehead, has been an invaluable resource for the development of this website, providing consultation, encouragement and exposure of the site and for securing funding for this project. Thanks to Stephen Powell and Kevin Thomas, who have provided many hours of editorial and technical support, further strengthening the clarity of this site. Peter Morris and William Wells also provided a great deal of invaluable network and technological support. Thanks also, to Margaret-Anne Hamelin for her french translation of the Collection Homepage in the eleventh hour of this project.

We would also like to thank:

Joan Prosper and Deborah Ginnish from the Micmac Association of Cultural Studies for their reviews and suggestions.

The Micmac Association Of Cultural Studies for their interest in and review of this site.
