The Learning Centre Plus - Your Centre for Integrated Learning Solutions. Strength in Diversity Program
Strength In Diversity Program is an interdepartmental assignment program targeting Nova Scotia federal employees who are members of the three employment equity groups; Persons with Disabilities, Visible Minorities and Aboriginal. The initiative is sponsored by the Nova Scotia Federal Council and funded by six participating departments; Human Resources Development Canada, Canada Customs & Revenue Agency, Department of National Defence, Fisheries & Oceans Canada, Public Works & Government Services, Health Canada, Indian & Northern Affairs Canada. These participating departments comprise the Management Board with Health Canada as the managing partner.

A Call For Leadership, a new phase under the Strength and Diversity Program umbrella enables participants to prepare for leadership roles within the Federal Public Service as well as assist departments in meeting their recruitment goals under Embracing Change at the middle to senior management levels.

Nova Scotia Federal Council
The Nova Scotia Federal Council is an association of the most senior managers of the 35 Federal departments and agencies that are active in Nova Scotia. The Council encourages collaboration among departments and with other levels of government, so that government can be more effective and efficient. Council has sponsored projects on Youth Employment; Science and Technology; Government Service Delivery and Policy Development. Council operates projects and activities to improve the management of people in the Public Service, including minority development programs, assignment and training programs, and National Public Service Week.
