SHEARWATER, N.S. – The Canadian Forces CH-124 Sea King fleet will resume flying today, following a short operational pause after the accident that occurred Feb 2, off the east coast of Denmark.

Following consultations last night and this morning with the on-site Flight Safety investigation team, the Commander of 1 Canadian Air Division, Major General Charlie Bouchard has decided to resume normal flight operations with the CH-124 Sea King helicopter fleet.

“The Flight Safety investigation is continuing, and will take some time to complete,” said Colonel Alan Blair, Commander 12 Wing Shearwater. “A review of the information that we have thus far gives us confidence that we are capable of resuming normal flight operations starting this afternoon.
