I. Directive on Language Training and Learning Retention

The Policy on Official Languages for Human Resources Management brings together the principles of five policies (# 16 to 20) and applies to all institutions subject to the Official Languages Act.

The new directives (documents G, H and I) apply primarily to institutions for which the Treasury Board is the employer.

The Directive on the Linguistic Identification of Positions or Functions replaces document # 17 and integrates components of document #19.

The Directive on the Staffing of Bilingual Positions replaces document #18 and integrates components of document #19.

The Directive on Language Training and Learning Retention replaces document # 20.
