[Guide] The purpose of the Dublin Core Application Profile (DCAP) for Web Resource Discovery in the Government of Canada is to document how the GC uses DC terms to describe its Web resources. It identifies and describes the attributes of the terms for the metadata elements and refinements maintained by the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI) that the GC has adopted to aid discovery of its Web resources. The profile also identifies recommended registered encoding schemes for use when applying the element values.
