Ranks & Promotion

The standard structure of a cadet corps is based on army company or platoon establishment. The basic cadet corps is considered to be a platoon/troop of thirty cadets. Structure may vary because of cadet corps affiliation and its customs.

Training for cadets is designed to produce warrant officers and senior NCO's within the corps.

NCM ranks and their appropriate insignia for Army Cadets are the same as the Regular Force (Army) and the Militia (Army Reserves).

The official policy is contained in CATO 40-03, Army Cadet Corps Rank Structure and Cadet Ranks.
