Cadre Atlantic Region Advisory Council
Introduction
The Cadet Instructors Cadre (CIC) Atlantic Region Advisory Council
(ARAC) provides a platform for members of the CIC, within Atl
Reg, to voice professional concerns and to allow members’
input into policies affecting their Branch. It is also an advisory
body composed of representative CIC officers who are responsible
to identify and discuss professional concerns of members of the
CIC and to provide guidance to the Regional Advisor.

Composition
The CIC ARAC consists of 12
members:
- 1 Region Advisor: Serving CIC officer, appointed by Reg Comd;
- 9 Detachment representatives: Serving CIC, one member per
element per Det (elected);
- 1 Mbr at large: Representative of Designated Groups, appointed
by CO RCSU(A);
- 1 Full time coordinator and Mbr at large: Full time officer
at RCSU(A) HQ level, also represents full time mbrs, appointed
by CO RCSU(A).
- The CO RCSU(A) sits as an Ex Officio mbr.

The TASK of the CIC ARAC is to develop a foundation
from which CIC in this region have input into policies and concerns
that affect the Branch.
The MISSION of the CIC ARAC to identify concerns
affecting the Branch and to make recommendations through the RA
to the National Branch Advisory Council (BAC)
The MANDATE of the CIC ARAC is as follows: (1)
policy & procedures for CIC MOS (2) policy & procedure
for recruitment, trg & retention of CIC (3) Policies regarding
the terms of services of the CIC (4) CIC dress (5) compensation
& benefits (6) image and professionalism of the Branch, and
(7) policy advice to DCdts through the BAC.
CIC officers within Atlantic Region may bring issues to the attention
of the ARAC through any of the representative
members.
