Participate online

More than 4000 individuals and organizations took part in the consultation – and over 3000 of them participated online by e-mail, submit forms and in the Web Dialogue. The IJC thanks all of you for your involvement and your thoughtful contributions.

The IJC has now completed its report synthesizing all the comments it received. It is in production and is scheduled for release in March, when it will be available on the website and in print. The full record of the consultation will be available on CD on request.

About the Web Dialogue

On November 29 to December 2, the IJC hosted a Web Dialogue, an innovative way of extending debate beyond geographic borders. Part conversation, part online conference, the Dialogue was guided by panelists who are among the leaders in their fields on Great Lakes-St. Lawrence issues. It was fully bilingual, with translators on hand almost around the clock. It was the first time a Web Dialogue of this kind had been conducted in Canada and among the first used internationally.
