- Aboriginal Policy Initiative (Alberta Finance)
- Alberta Children and Youth Initiative - Alberta Children's Services - AHW is one of 10 ministries engaged in this Initiative (ACYI), a collaborative partnership of government ministries working together on issues affecting children and youth. Its vision ensures that Alberta’s children and youth are well cared for, safe, successful at learning, and healthy.
Cross-Ministry Initiatives are areas of special importance to the government that because of their nature, cut across ministries and therefore require a "corporate" system-wide approach. The 2004-07 policy initiatives are: the Aboriginal Policy Initiative, the Alberta Children and Youth Initiative, the Economic Development Strategy, and the Health Sustainability Initiative.
