The Agriculture and Food Council of Alberta’s (AFC) website has a new look and features that make it easier to find the latest information about the council and its programs.

“The new website looks more modern and is easier to navigate,” said council chair Marilyn Sharp. “The council has grown a lot in the years since its last website was developed. This new site reflects the council’s expanded lines of business and policy programs, such as the Human Resources Projects and Environmental Policy Initiative Project.”

The council decided to redesign its website in order to make the best use of technological advances made since its previous website was created more than five years ago. The new design allows staff to instantly update the site with the latest news, and includes potential for additional components in the future.

The council is a leader in Alberta’s agriculture and food industry. It is a unique agent within Alberta’s agriculture, food and life sciences industry and has a globally competitive, profitable and sustainable vision for the province.

To help realize this vision, the council has developed various partnerships with industry and governments. It operates a number of targeted programs and initiatives, and is increasingly viewed by industry partners as a catalyst for policy discussions on important issues and trends affecting the industry.

To view the new website, visit the council’s website. Albertans are encouraged to visit the website regularly to keep up-to-date on the latest AFC news and feature stories.
