Alberta's Office of the Public Trustee protects the financial interests of vulnerable Albertans by administering the estates of dependent adults, deceased persons and minors when there is no one else to act.
The Revised Statutes of Alberta, 2000, were enacted on January 1, 2002. This included changes to the Dependent Adults Act. See Trusteeship Orders Predating January 1, 2000 for more information on changes to the Dependent Adults Act.
