Canada's National Contact Point (NCP) for the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises

Canada's National Contact Point (NCP) is an interdepartmental committee of the federal government comprising representatives from various departments, including Industry Canada. The role of the NCP is to promote awareness of the guidelines published by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in the document entitled The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and to ensure their effective implementation. This website contains key documents, information about the guidelines, national contact points, additional guideline information, and related links.

Canada-Ontario Export Forum (COEF)

The Canada-Ontario Export Forum (COEF) is a partnership between federal and provincial government departments and agencies that offer various forms of export assistance to active and potential exporters. International Business Information

International Project Development Roadmap (IPDR)

The International Project Development Roadmap (IPDR) was prepared for Industry Canada in consultation with Canadian exporters to help existing and future Canadian exporters pursue international infrastructure opportunities. The IPDR guide provides a step-by-step approach or “roadmap” to ensure the rational and well-orchestrated development of international infrastructure and other capital projects. This website includes information on the purpose and concept of the roadmap, and takes you through the seven different roadmap “stations”: identification of a project, evaluation, development, financial structuring, negotiation, construction and operation, and additional information.

Trade Team Canada Sectors (TTCS)

Trade Team Canada Sectors (TTCS) bring government and industry together to coordinate national trade development planning and activities in key industries such as aerospace and defence, automotive, health, and service. TTCS helps Canadian companies by opening doors and providing contacts; providing information about target markets and business opportunities; planning and implementing trade promotion activities; and showcasing Canadian capabilities abroad.


Investment

Investment Canada Act

Non-Canadians who acquire control of an existing Canadian business or who wish to establish a new unrelated Canadian business are subject to the Investment Canada Act. The FAQs may help users determine if and how the Act applies to them. The site also provides access to the Act and regulations, online application forms, guidelines and administrative documents to assist you in the interpretation the of the Act, and quarterly statistics on the number of notifications and reviewed applications.
