For
some thousands of years, we have lived in an area contained by the
lakes and rivers that drain into eastern James Bay and south-eastern
Hudson Bay. Our land is rich in fish, birds, big game and fur-bearing
animals. Casting its web over our region is the network of our nine
Cree communities and our hunting territories.
