OSB Newsletter
The OSB Newsletter is a publication to inform people of new developments in insolvency matters in Canada. The publication contains information about initiatives to decrease professional misconduct by trustees, insolvency statistics for as well as new professional misconduct cases.

Insolvency Bulletin Archives
A list of Insolvency Bulletin issues published by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy from 1992 to 2000. The Bulletin was written for trustees, jurists, registrars, accountants, credit managers and those with a general interest in bankruptcy and insolvency.

National Insolvency Forum
In 1999, as a result of changes to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, the OSB held forums in six regions of Canada to consult with stakeholders and practitioners about the current state of Canada's insolvency system. The following reports outline the highlights of the stakeholders' discussions and suggestions for changes and improvement to the system.

Explaining Chapter 12
Amendments made to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act following the passing of Bill C-5, are now known as Chapter 12 of the 1997 Statutes of Canada. For our visitors' reference, this section links to a manual about Chapter 12, a mediation procedures manual and a description of the changes made to the bankruptcy and insolvency rules.

Funding Options: A Response to the Meeting the Challenge paper (PDF)
The OSB published a revenue-options discussion paper in Insolvency Bulletin entitled Meeting the Challenge that invited clients and stakeholders to provide their input on possible funding options. This document describes OSB's response and presents a draft set of funding proposals for further comment and consideration.

Statutory Review of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act
The review is a statutory requirement in both Acts and is done to assess the need for reform to our insolvency laws. The goal of the review is to continue to make the insolvency system as efficient and fair as possible.
