Entrepreneurship in Atlantic Canadian University Environments Research (EUE)
A consortium of 18 organisations including Atlantic Canadian university-based business development centres, university entrepreneurship chairs, and other university-based partners have joined forces to produce a major research initiative which identifies needs and developmental opportunities regarding gaps in entrepreneurship education, awareness, attitudes and advocacy at the university level in Atlantic Canada. Funding for the study was provided by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) through its Business Development Program. This research was developed by a voluntary non-governmental organization. Item Women in Business Initiative: Business Counselling and Community Outreach Program - This program provides women business owners with business counselling and the most current information on programs and services available to women entrepreneurs.

Item Women in Business Initiative: Business Management Training Allowance - This program can provide financial assistance to women business owners wishing to undertake business management training.

Item Women in Business Initiative: Consultant Advisory Services - Based on need, this program may help women business owners to engage additional expert advice to address business opportunities, issues and/or problems.

Item Women in Business Opportunity Program (Access to Financing) - The WBI can help you find potential sources of business financing and improve your ability to access them. This program, in particular, helps lending partners – including 41 Community Business Development Corporations throughout rural Atlantic Canada and several urban-based lenders – to increase financing opportunities that meet your business needs.


Item Young Entrepreneur Development Initiative (YEDI) - YEDI is an ACOA initiative designed to expand and enhance the entrepreneurship training, information and support services available to Atlantic Canadians under 35 years of age.

Item Protecting the Environment: Entrepreneurs Working Toward a Sustainable Future - This document will be of value to all entrepreneurs who want to improve the way they do business while minimizing their impact on the environment. It will also interest young people who have yet to explore the benefits and opportunities associated with becoming an environmental leader within Atlantic Canada's business community. It shows that it is possible to be an entrepreneur while, at the same time, respecting the environment.

Item Opportunities Trails: An Atlantic-Wide Connection - Entrepreneurship Educators' Information Guide - This information guide is designed primarily for entrepreneurship educators in the public school (K to 12), community college and university levels.
