Moving within a form
- Enter the appropriate data in each box or "field."
- To move from one field to the next, use the "Tab" key.
- This helps ensure that you don't accidentally skip over any fields.
- You can also use your cursor to move from field to field.
- Place your cursor in the field you want to fill in, then left-click.
Changing your data
- To replace data you've already entered in a field, place your cursor within the field and then double-click.
- This "selects" the existing data, which you can then adjust or replace.
- To clear the data from all fields and start over, click on the "Clear form" button at the bottom of the form.
Multi-line fields
- Some fields have room for more than one line of text.
- Just keep on typing when you're at the end of a line: your text will automatically be wrapped to the next line.
- If you want to start typing on a brand-new line, hit the "Enter" key.
- When you've finished in the field, hit the "Tab" key to move to the next field.
Check boxes
- Some request forms contain check boxes where an entry is required.
- To select, simply place your cursor inside the desired box and left click.
- To remove an entry, place your cursor inside the desired box and left click.
Pick list features
- For some questions, you will be required to select an answer from a list of choices.
- You may make your choice by using the arrow keys or the mouse to move up or down the list to highlight your selection.
- Select the answer by pressing "Enter" or by clicking your choice using the left mouse button.
