Mandate
The mandate of the Drug and Organized Crime Awareness Service is to reduce
the incidence of drug addiction by providing expertise on the various substances,
harnessing
resources and collaborating with other stakeholders in order to have a
significant impact on the various problems related to drug abuse.

Initiatives
Drugs
and Social Phenomena
This tool provides addiction counsellors with updates on various substances
and drug-related problems, including:
- marihuana;
- amphetamine base (methamphetamine and ecstasy).
Patch
Program
The goal of this program is to send a direct message to parents, coaches
and players that our common responsibility is to help young people achieve
their full potential through a healthy lifestyle.
Two-Way
Street
Aimed at parents, the objectives of the program are to inform and encourage
communication with children about the legal consequences and substantive characteristics
of drugs, what alternatives are available to parents who wish to intervene,
and what types of resource agencies are available.
