Strategic Plan
The Strategic Plan was developed by the Western School Board Planning Team composed of eighteen members including all of the Board Trustees, Senior Board Staff and representatives of school staffs and students. With the assistance of two facilitators, the Planning Team convened in five sessions between December 2005 and May 2006 to:
● Review and revise the Boards mission and belief statements.
● Identify Board strengths, needs and potential priorities for the next three years.
● Receive input from representatives of school communities through four focus groups.
● Generate four strategic goals for the 2006 - 2009 period.
● Receive recommendations from four Strategy Teams concerning measures for implementation of the goals.
● Review and refine the Strategic Plan for presentation to the Western School Board.
