We encourage you to read the following information along with the revised User Guides before the release of the new version on September 17, 2006. As in the past, customers have been assigned specific dates on which to receive the software upgrade. For best results during this time, we recommend you connect with the Canada Post server early in the day.

Desktop Version

Printer Zebra 2844 Z - Desktop version

You now have more options when choosing a printer!

USB connected printer is now available for those who ask for this option.

Effective September 18, 2006, you will be able to print your shipping labels on Zebra 2844Z printers connected to a USB port

Unaddressed Admail Paperwork - Desktop version

Electronic Shipping Tools, we have made the following enhancements as illustrated.



This new document consolidates all the information of the Order (Statement of Mailing), the Mailing Summary, and the Packing Slip into one.



The revised plain paper Admail Delivery Slips will now print landscape. It also includes the Deposit Date.



The Deposit Date has been added to the paper Container labels.

Please note the new look of the Unaddressed Admail – Fully Featured Data Entry Screen.

The following new features have been added:

  1. Printing Mono/Skid Labels
    The new Labels Only checkbox enables the Mono/Skid Type drop-down list, and the Containers by Mono/Skid fields. Selecting Labels Only will generate a mono/skid label per delivery installation in your mailing plan

    The current checkbox is renamed to With NPS Presort, but the the function remains the same

  2. Print Instructions Sheet
    Select this checkbox to print one page instructions sheet with helpful mailing hints when you transmit the order.

  3. Printing Options
    A new Print Manager pop-up window will appear when the Activate Print Manager checkbox is checked.

The new Print Manager page is displayed when you click the checkbox of Unaddressed Admail Fully Featured Data Entry page. This page allows you to select the ADS/Containers labels to print.

You may select to print all the labels or the labels per Deposit. Once the selection is made, the Delivery Installations will be displayed.

You can also access the Print Manager page by clicking on the Copy/Reprint command button, located at the bottom of the Main Data Entry page. A new pop-up message will allow you to print the ADS and Containers Labels

Note: The Reprint functionality remains the same.

The Limit for current printing is retrieved from information entered in the Site Information – Options window.

This allows you to control the number of labels you wish to print at one time.

New look for the Mono/Skid Labels

  1. The header section now displays Title of Mail Piece, Delivery Start Date, Mailed on Behalf of Customer,and Mailed by Customer.
  2. The full address of the Delivery Installation has been added to the labels
  3. The footer section now displays ADS Reference, Date of Deposit, Number of Copies, Bags, and Bundles

Note: The number of Mono/Skid labels to print is retrieved from information entered in the Site Information –Options

Partial Mailings - Desktop version

Canada Post is listening to your requests and is making it easier to use Partial Mailing.

Partial Mailings include the following features:

  • Catalogue Mail, Addressed Admail and Publications Mail to accept Partial Mailing – both Details Known and Details Unknown
  • Use “Details Unknown” if you plan on making multiple deposits but do not know the volume per Service Description.per deposit.
  • Details Unknown option will not print Packing slips or Summary of Mailing.
  • An option must be selected from the drop down menu (mandatory)

New Copy/Reprint page will display when Partial – No Details is selected. This will allow you to print the copy Statement of Mailing.

Note: Partial mailings require an original Statement of Mailing and as indicated, each Partial deposit must be accompanied with a copy of the Statement of Mailing

Online Version

Credit Card Verification - Online version

We are introducing a new security feature for VentureOne customers to help reduce the risk of credit card fraud. The requirement to include the Credit Card Verification (CVV) number in the Credit Card Information section discourages users from trying to use a credit card that is not in their possession, as they will not have access to this number.

In order to provide you with further assistance in preparing your Unaddressed Admail Fully Featured mailings, we have created a Mail Preparation Instructions Sheet. After transmitting your Statement of Mailing, simply click on the new button displayed here

When the instructions are displayed, click on the printer icon to print.

Note: Partial Mailings are not available for Lettermail mailings.

Note: Each Partial deposit must be accompanied with a copy of the Statement of Mailing

To ensure you have the appropriate document with your deposit, please note at the bottom of Statement of Mailing, it is indicated that this copy is a Deposit Copy only. This copy is required for each partial deposit.
