The Department of National Defence has a significant investment in information holdings and information technology. To derive maximum benefit from this investment, the Assistant Deputy Minister, Information Management (ADM (IM)) provides direction, military operations support and products and services to manage information as an essential component of the departmental mission and objectives.
The organization is under the authority of the Assistant Deputy Minister (Information Management). Headquartered in Ottawa, the Field Units and the Communication Reserve are located across Canada.
The Information Management (IM) Group provides Information Technology (IT) support to both Canadian Forces missions deployed around the world and Department of National Defence members across Canada. This support manifests itself in a number of ways. 85 000 end users rely on the services that IM Group provides. It’s a huge task, but it’s a task that IM Group members are proud to provide.
