Francophones in Ontario – Statistical Profiles – 2005 EditionThe Office of Francophone Affairs has just launched five new profiles on the Francophone community in Ontario, based on Statistics Canada 2001 census data. The studies present an insightful portrait of the Francophone population. They cover various aspects, such as demographic characteristics, assimilation rates, education levels, and socio-economic status. The profiles make comparisons with the provincial population as a whole in order to emphasize the relative situation of Francophones. Regional differences are also highlighted. This edition features a new profile on racial minorities. Profiles published by the Office of Francophone Affairs in 1999 and based on 1996 census data remain available on this site for reference. You will find them in the Publications section. The files listed below are offered in text and PDF format.
