Ontario's new Condominium
Act and regulations were proclaimed on May 5, 2001, to provide
protection vital to consumers and to encourage the health of the condominium
industry, which now accounts for more than 40 per cent of new housing
starts in the province.
The modern Condominium Act and regulations
have been developed to meet the changing needs of
consumers and businesses, support a strong economy and
help create jobs.
