Land Use Policies and Guidelines

The Province of British Columbia operates within a framework of policies that govern the management, administration and disposition of Crown land and water resources. These policies were developed in consultation with other provincial agencies and stakeholder groups.

The policies help to ensure the consistent delivery of Crown resource allocation by regional offices.

In developing policies to assist staff and stakeholders, the Policy Manual establishes guiding principles on the use, allocation, pricing and assignment of tenures of Crown land. It also provides a process to ensure a balance for environmental protection, economic growth and public benefit.

Complaint Form (25kb) - for unauthorized use of Crown land, or misuse, negative impact or contravention of a lease, licence or permit issued relating to Crown land.
