The Wine Route
The art of living… at every turn

Dunham, Eastern Townships

What could be more pleasant than hopping in your car and exploring country roads? Enjoy a getaway to the Eastern Townships and tour something really unique: the renowned vineyards along the Brome-Missiquoi Wine Route! The birthplace of Québec's fledgling wine industry, the region boasts the greatest concentration of vineyards in the province.

Treat your taste buds

PhotoIn addition to whites, reds and rosés, our wine growers produce a wide range of aperitifs and liqueurs. Our cold climate is ideal for making ice wines and late harvest wines, beverages with a higher sugar content that are enjoyed as an aperitif or with dessert. Then there's our ice cider; produced only in Québec, it has taken international markets by storm! Each vineyard has something special to offer its guests: guided tours, pleasant picnics, country-style dining, outdoor art exhibits… This signed route has lots of great discoveries in store for you, all in a warm atmosphere!

Celebrate life's little pleasures

Dunham, Eastern TownshipsThe Wine Route links 11 vineyards located in Brome-Missisquoi, in the Eastern Townships. Five are in Dunham, where Québec's first vineyards were established in the early 1980s. Brome-Missiquoi is famous for its splendid countryside and mountain views, as well as its picturesque New England-style hamlets. As you travel this route, you can visit antique shops and artists' studios—in fact, a large number of artists have made this rural oasis their home. Cap off your day by treating yourself to a meal of fine local cuisine (the region's speciality is Lac Brome duck), and then spend the night in a delightful Eastern Townships inn!

Your itinerary
