New Federal-Provincial Agreement
In September 2004 the federal and provincial governments
signed a 10-year health funding agreement:
- Governments committed to inform Canadians on improvements
to wait times and other aspects of health care.
- The agreement provides long-term stable funding
to help improve patient care, reduce wait times and
build a sustainable health care system.
- British Columbia continues to make progress toward
creating a more accountable approach to health care

amounted to 43 percent of all provincial government's
pending in 2004/05.
