The Commission on Improving Work Opportunities for Saskatchewan Residents was announced by the Honourable Deb Higgins, Minister of Labour, on February 18, 2005.

The mandate of the Commission is to conduct a review of Saskatchewan Legislation and Government Policy and make recommendations related to work in Saskatchewan.

The Commission held consultation meetings in September and October of 2005 to hear views about vulnerable workers from interested groups and individuals.
