Publications Centre

Queen's Printer manages Publications Centre, however government departments and many related agencies contribute publications to Publications Centre.  Inquiries and/or details regarding a specific publication should be made to the contributing department.  Contact information can be found beside each publication available in the Publications Centre (as shown with blue arrow):

 

When you choose publications, you may have an option to purchase rather than only to see information about or to review an electronic version of a publication.  This option provides users with the ability to purchase formats of publications.  The Formats range from CD to Print Copies, Maps to Map - Sets, etc..., for example:

Purchase Publications/Products

Order or purchase publications under Purchase Documents. Certain publications may have more than one alternative to select.  To add a publication to your Shopping Cart, click on the Add to Cart Link (under Purchase), to the right of the Format:




Shopping Cart

Once a publication has been added to the cart you see the following screen:

The options are:

  1. Change the Quantity to more than one. (click in box) Once quantity is finalized, select which will recalculate the Sub-total for the Shopping Cart;
  2. Check out of the Shopping Cart by selecting which will continue through the process of gathering information of where to ship and bill for the items purchased;
  3. Remove all items by selecting
  4. Continue shopping by selecting the Continue Shopping text links from the right-hand navigation under .

Within the Shopping Cart you can also perform other actions  including:

  1. Access the My Account OR Login section (shown further down in the Account Set up Section) to login with an existing account, set up a new account and/or retreive lost password for an already existing account;
  2. Logout of an account;
  3. If you are reviewing your additons to the Shopping Cart you'll select the Display Cart link:

Completing a Purchase

To complete your purchase, select or the Checkout text link from the right-hand navigation. If you are not already Logged In, you will be prompted to enter your Login information or set up a new account.

Account Set up / Login

Here you can set up a new account or login to an existing account. If you have an account but have forgotten the password, we'll e-mail it to you.  The screen to Login is:


To continue using a previously set up account you will enter your existing e-mail address and password then select

Create a New Account

If you need to set up a new account select and enter your information:

Once you have entered your e-mail address, password and confirm password select .  Once you have created an account you return to the Shopping Cart and you can choose to Continue Shopping or Check Out.  If you Check Out you'll be prompted for Billing (and subsequently Shipping Information) so Queen's Printer/Publications Centre know where to send your purchases.  See section below on entering Billing/Shipping Information.

Retrieve a Password / Existing Account

If you have an account but have forgotten your password we'll e-mail it to you.  Select and enter your information:

Enter Billing & Shipping Information

To complete your purchase you will be prompted to enter Billing (and subsequently Shipping) Information.

Fill in all fields:

Once completed you have the option of clicking the box next to the "Shipping Address Is the Same as Billing Address" and then selecting to go directly to the Payment Screen, the final stage of the Checkout Process OR going to the Shipping screen, if your information is different from billing, then onto the Payment Screen to complete your purchase.

Payment

To purchase your items you will see the following screen:

At this screen you can change your personal information (Billing & Shipping Information) by selecting Edit () AND/OR enter your Credit Card Information (Number, select type, and Expiry Date) then select .   This pre-authorizes the purchase and provides you with a confirmation that we have received the information for processing.

Order Confirmation

You will see an Order Confirmation screen appear with all relevant information to your purchase, as shown here:

This provides you with an Order Number which you can refer to if you need to contact Publications Center.

My Account

The My Account section provides you with the ability to:

  1. Review and Edit existing Billing/Shipping Information by selecting Edit () beside the area (Billing/Shipping) you want to modify, as shown here:


  2. View a purchase (current or previous) by selecting the View link next to the purchase:


  3. Print a purchase (current or previous) by selecting the Print link next to the purchase.  This opens another browser window and prompts the printer for your computer (with default printer set) for you to initiate printing your receipt:

Order Status

Publications Centre uses order status to display good transaction, failed due to error with the Financial Institution, fraud, cancelled order, etc..

Details / Resolution

Received

Your order has been received successfully.  Your credit card has been pre-authorized the order is cancelled or shipped.

Processing

Your order is in the process of being fulfilled by Publications Centre but not yet completed.

Shipped

Your order has been reviewed, items are shipped and your credit card has been charged the required funds.

Error/Cancelled

The order was unsuccessful due to:
1) Declined Card
2) Cancelled through your intervention
3) Cancelled by Queen's Printer/Publications Centre staff, OR
4) Error occured during the submission of your order (Example: Over Limit).
