OTTAWA, December 13, 2002  The Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) announced today that, effective February 1, 2003, the support price for skim milk powder will increase from $4.9858 to $5.1966 per kilogram, and for butter, from $5.9011 to $6.1061 per kilogram.

Increase to Support Prices for Butter and Skim Milk Powder

OTTAWA, December 14, 2001   The Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) announced today that, effective February 1, 2002, the support price for skim milk powder will increase from $4.8394 to $4.9858 per kilogram, and for butter, from $5.7261 to $5.9011 per kilogram. The decision was made after giving consideration to increased costs faced by dairy producers, consultations with major dairy industry stakeholder representatives from the farm, processing, further processing, restaurant and consumer sectors, as well as other economic indicators.

OTTAWA, December 15, 2000   The Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) today announced that, effective February 1, 2001, the support price for skim milk powder will rise from $4.6842 to $4.8394 per kilogram, and for butter, from $5.5407 to $5.7261 per kilogram. The decision was made after giving careful consideration to the national Cost of Production study carried out in the regions, the general state of the economy as well as the views provided by major dairy industry stakeholder representatives from the farm, processing, further processing, grocery distributor, restaurant and consumer sectors.

OTTAWA, December 17, 1999 The Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) today announced that, effective February 1, 2000, the support price for skim milk powder will rise from $4.5247 to $4.6842 per kilogram, and for butter, from $5.4667 to $5.5407 per kilogram.

Increase to Support Prices for Butter and Skim Milk Powder

OTTAWA, December 17, 1998  The Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) today announced that, effective February 1, 1999, the support price for skim milk powder will rise from $4.4310 to $4.5247 per kilogram, and for butter, from $5.3927 to $5.4667 per kilogram. The pricing decision was taken by the Commissioners after full consideration of the views provided by major dairy industry stakeholders including milk producers, processors, further processors, restaurant and food service operators and consumers. As well, provincial cost of production formulae, market conditions, the changing dairy environment and the economy in general were considered.
