Represent a client

This secure service lets you and/or your business deal with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) as a representative for someone such as a client, friend, or family member. To use this service, you must:

Start using this service

Step Action
1 Log in with your epass (a User ID and Password). If you don't have an epass, you can get one by using this service.
Do not share your epass (a User ID and Password);
2 Sign-up as a representative to obtain a RepID (for example, A2B2CE1), or sign-up your business and use your Business Number (BN);
3 Provide your BN or RepID to your client, friend, or family member so they can authorize you to use this service; and
4 Be authorized by that client, friend, or family member.

We urge you to visit About this service if this is your first time using this service. We also suggest that you familiarize yourself with the paper based authorization process if you are submitting a Form T1013 or Form RC59.

Note
If you are an individual and want to authorize a representative to deal with the CRA for you, use the My Account service.

If you are a business owner and want to authorize a representative to deal with the CRA for you, use the My Business Account service.
