Corporate Social Responsibility: An Implementation Guide for Canadian Business

Public Consultation Draft -- Corporate Social Responsibility: An Implementation Guide for Canadian Business

On behalf of the federal government, the Office of Consumer Affairs within Industry Canada is spearheading efforts to develop "Corporate Social Responsibility: An Implementation Guide for Canadian Business," with input from a wide range of other parties.

The Office of Consumer Affairs of Industry Canada has already published a guide on voluntary codes called Voluntary Codes: A Guide for Their Development and Use and a guide on consumer complaints management entitled Consumer Complaints Management: A Guide for Canadian Business. The CSR Guide is intended to build on these two earlier initiatives.

Persons interested in receiving and commenting on a public consultation draft of "Corporate Social Responsibility: An Implementation Guide for Canadian Business" should contact Dr. Kernaghan Webb of the Office of Consumer Affairs, Industry Canada. He can be reached via e-mail or by phone at (613) 952-2534.
