1. How do I register for an epass?

You can register for an epass by clicking on the Register button on the Log In or Register page.

To register, you must:
  • create your unique User ID;
  • select your Recovery Questions and Answers;
  • create and confirm your Password; and
  • electronically sign the Terms and Conditions of Use.

2. What is an epass Enabled Service?

An epass Enabled Service is an online Government service that uses epass Canada to provide enhanced security to protect your information.

3. What is the difference between an epass registration and an epass enabled service enrolment?

An epass registration allows you to obtain an epass, which is your unique electronic credential. Please refer to the epass Canada frequently asked questions for more information.

An epass enabled service enrolment is your online electronic application for accessing Government epass Enabled Services.

4. How do I enrol into an epass Enabled Service?

The epass Enabled Services enrolment process is unique to each Government department and agency.

Please refer to the department or agency’s frequently asked questions for more information on how to enrol with their Enabled Service.

5. I have tried to register and it did not work. Why?

You may have tried to register when the system was not available. Please try again later.

6. Why do I need to provide Recovery Questions and Answers during the epass registration process?

These recovery questions and answers are used if you have forgotten your epass Password.

7. Can I change my registration information?

Yes, you can. Using Manage My epass you are able to change your:

  • User ID; or
  • Password.
