With a complement of approximately 150 women and men, HMCS Malahat is one 24 Naval Reserve Divisions across Canada.
Malahat trains its reserve force sailors to meet the mandate of the Naval Reserve, which is to provide Maritime Command with trained personnel to meet Canada's maritime defence objectives in times of peace, crisis or war.
Malahat is also an active part of the local community, providing vital emergency services, fundraising for local charities, as well as participating in numerous community events.
