The BC Games
regularly partners with various agencies to provide services that
benefit BC Games participants and the provincial sport system.
Next year B.C. will celebrate BC150 Years, the 150th anniversary
of the founding of the Crown Colony of British Columbia in
1858. Every community in B.C. is invited to participate in
this year-long celebration of B.C.’s cultural diversity,
community strength and widespread achievement. For more

established by ProMOTION Plus in partnership with the BC Games Society
and the Coaches Association
of BC will support opportunities for female coaches to develop and
enhance their coaching skills in conjunction with

BC Games
Celebrates Volunteerism
Without the thousands of volunteers that contribute
their time and energy, the BC Games would not be possible. The BC Games
Society celebrates volunteers. Their efforts contribute to
the success of the Games and the development of people, resources,
sport and athletes in our communities. Our Celebrating
Volunteers page contains volunteer statistics, biographies of
Games volunteers and more.
BC Olympic
& Paralympic Youth Leadership Academy
The BC Games
Society, along with other multi-sport agencies in BC (2010

Sports and Recreation Association of BC, BC Disability Sports, BC School
Sports, Canadian Olympic Committee, PacificSport, ProMOTION Plus, and Sport BC) have come together
to provide a tremendous opportunity for young leaders around the
province. The BC Olympic

Games for students committed to
sport and leadership. The Academy provides leadership skills training and
enhancement, combined with a focus of the values and virtues of the
Olympic and Paralympic movements. The next Academy will
