UBIFRANCE/QUÉBEC Program

The UBIFRANCE/QUEBEC program results from a Franco-Quebec industrial cooperation agreement administered jointly by the ministère du Développement économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation (MDEIE), for Quebec, and Ubifrance, for France. It aims to promote the negotiation and conclusion of partnership agreements between French and Quebec small- and medium-sized businesses.

Eligibility Criteria

Small- and medium-sized businesses having an industrial-type project with a French partner  - acquisition or disposal of know-how or a patent for the manufacture of a product or the commercialization of a licensed process, joint development of a product or process, creation of a mixed company or an industrial subsidiary, etc. – are eligible.

Companies applying for the program must have a legal existence.  No minimum sales figure is required, but the technical and financial ability to realize the proposed project is one of the top criteria for acceptance.  The program is not designed for companies looking for a partner.  Companies must already have found a partner and made contact with it.  In addition, there must be evidence of a joint interest in an industrial agreement.

Summary

The program covers the preparation of a mission, the cost of transatlantic transportation, accommodation expenses, and intercity travel within France according to certain condition.
