Starting a Business – Training

This training program recently updated by Ministère de l'Éducation in cooperation with the business community is divided into six modules, beginning with an awareness-raising module designed to enhance entrepreneurship and spur innovation. Subsequent modules are more technical and specialized, covering financing, an introduction to marketing techniques, and how to manage your company's human and financial resources. Participants are encouraged to come up with a "game plan" for their company and develop a professional business plan.

Starting a Business is a concise and comprehensive training program in which online learning and individual consultations replace the conventional course format. The program features an array of activities:

TRAINING TOOLS

The online component is the result of a partnership with forty school boards offering this professional study program at eighty institutions across

Quebec . The school board network's dynamic team goes by the name Entrepreneuriat Québec, a non-profit corporation whose mission is to develop teaching tools and promote the program.

Upon registration, business project promoters are given a username and password providing them access to  Lancement d'une entreprise . This site is an essential companion to the learning guides provided to students and includes an online version of a business plan, a financial projection software program, and free access to valuable databanks for market analyses.
