Summer Camping

Parc national de la Pointe-Taillon offers four primitive campgrounds, three of which can be reached on the bike path, and one of which is only accessible by water.

NEW! Ready-to-Camp (Le Prospecteur Campground)

You’ve never gone camping and you’re not equipped for it, but you’d like to give this popular activity a try. No problem! The ready-to-camp option is the perfect introduction to the joys of camping with family or friends. The package includes the campsite, the tent-trailer, meal-preparation equipment, including a camp stove under an awning, a small fridge, dishes and kitchenware, as well as the following services: lighting and heating equipment, non-potable water nearby (must be boiled before drinking), and access to washroom facilities. No electricity. All you need to bring is your bed linens and food. The sites are located 4 km from the parking lot and the washroom facilities building. Nature and the great outdoors are within your reach! Details.

Users of Véloroute des Bleuets have direct access to the campgrounds because they are located alongside the park's bike path.

Please consult Reservation Terms and Conditions.

Les Castors Campground: Located 2 km from the parking area, alongside Lac Saint-Jean, beach (unsupervised), water supply (non-potable), pit toilets

Le Prospecteur Campground: Located 4 km from the parking area, alongside Lac Saint-Jean, beach (unsupervised), water supply (non-potable), pit toilets

Pointe-Chevrette Campground: Located 20 km from the Taillon sector parking lot, 11 km from the Sainte-Monique sector parking lot, or 5 km from the Péribonka marina (shuttle boat service available), pit toilet.

Île Bouliane Campground: Located on Île Bouliane 5 nautical km from the Péribonka marina, pit toilet.

Each site has a picnic table; some sites may also have room for a second tent for children or a screen house. Campers can rent a trailer that is adaptable to bikes to transport their luggage. Campfires are permitted at specially designated locations

In the Taillon sector (near the Discovery and Visitors Centre), you can take advantage of a supervised beach, a bike and watercraft rental service, a snack bar with an indoor dining room and terrace, toilets, showers and a boutique offering basic supplies (ice, bottled water, firewood, other products).

It is preferable to stock up on drinking water or to buy some before coming to the park. There is no drinking water on the park's entire territory due to a temporary problem with the municipal aqueduct system.
