Pets at Parc Aquarium du Québec

No dogs, cats or other pets are allowed at Parc Aquarium du Québec.

The purpose of this measure is for the health and safety of our animal collection and of your pet.

To avoid stress, incidents, and the introduction of new diseases, all new animals added to our collection must be quarantined when they arrive. It is important to remember that even in captivity, animals conserve their natural instincts. Therefore, certain behaviours, sounds and odours, could cause unexpected or uncontrollable reactions in our animals or yours. Parc Aquarium du Québec is home to much more than fish. The Aquarium also houses mammals, a bird, amphibians, reptiles and, in the coastal zone basin, invertebrates.

Since May 2007, Parc Aquarium has been allowing the blind or mobility impaired to enter the site with a guide dog. This authorization applies only to guide dogs, not to guide dogs in training. We have evaluated and experimented with the presence of guide dogs on our site, and they do not cause any problems. However, we still hold authorization granted by the Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse to refuse access to guide dogs in order to preserve the security of our customers, staff, and animal collection.
