This program offers wage subsidies to employers who offer housing industry work experience and on-the-job training to out of school and unemployed First Nations and Inuit youth who are between the ages of 15 to 30.

A non-refundable tax credit equal to 10% of eligible salaries and wages payable to qualifying apprentices employed after May 1, 2006. The maximum credit is $2 000 per year for each eligible apprentice.

Employers who hire full-time high school and post-secondary students may qualify to receive wage incentives of $2.00 per hour for up to 560 hours per position. Up to $100 per position is also available to offset training costs.

This program places post secondary graduates, under the age of 30, with companies and non-government organizations in the environment industry. Internships are 6 - 12 months in length and involve practical work on national and international projects. A wage subsidy of up to $12,000 is available to companies undertaking a project.

Provides wage subsidies to for-profit and non-profit businesses as well as First Nations and Inuit communities and organizations who provide work experience (minimum of 80 hours) during the summer months to First Nations and Inuit secondary and post-secondary students, 15 to 30 years of age.

Project proposals can be submitted by First Nation and Inuit governments and organizations from private and non-profit sectors. First Nations and Inuit youth aged 15 to 30 will receive applicable provincial/territorial minimum wage.

The program provides financial assistance to innovative Canadian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for the hiring of post-secondary graduates who are between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive). Maximum support provided will be $15 000 to help cover a part of the graduate's salary.

Provides Manitoba businesses with wage incentives to hire full-time post-secondary students over the age of 16 who are enrolled in, at minimum, a two-year post secondary program. Employers who provide an average of 8 to 16 hours per week of part-time career-related employment during the school term are eligible to receive wage incentives for up to 200 hours of employment.

Potential employers are companies or universities who work in the fields of geomatics, geology, mining, forestry and energy. The interns are employees of these organizations and the federal government supports this program through financial contributions from the Youth Employment Strategy initiative. Encourages promising young scientists (30 years or younger) and post-secondary graduates in environmental or related disciplines to get hands-on experience working on environmental projects. Human Resources and Skills Development Canada will provide up to $12,000 per placement.

The Aboriginal Urban Youth program placements are funded through the National Association of Friendship Centres (NAFC). Eligible employers are Aboriginal Friendship Centres and Provincial/Territorial associations affiliated with the NAFC.

Employers are businesses and public or non-profit organizations. Funding is available for 1,000 college and university students to be placed in 6 - 16 week summer jobs opportunities which allow them to work in their second official language or in both official languages.
