To Whom Does This Apply?

All travel agents selling travel insurance in New Brunswick.

Summary

Under the Insurance Act, any person who is a resident of New Brunswick and who carries on the business of a travel insurance agent must have a valid licence.

The Office of the Superintendent of Insurance, Department of Justice and Consumer Affairs, issues licenses to all travel agents selling travel insurance in New Brunswick.

To apply for a licence, Form 45-1169 must be completed and submitted along with a fee of $25 payable to the Minister of Finance. Criminal record checks must accompany first applications.

All Travel Insurance Agent’s licences expire June 30th of each year.
