The Arts Development Branch supports arts organizations, associations, community groups, and cultural industries (sound recording, book publishing and fine craft) by providing consultative services and financial assistance.

Operational Funding Programs

Professional Arts Organizations
The purpose of the program is to enable the Arts Development Branch to work with New Brunswick's professional arts organizations in order to encourage them to offer a high-quality product, increase artistic production in the arts in the province, manage their finances responsibly, and develop economic initiatives that lead to self-sufficiency.

Professional Artists' Associations
The purpose of the program is to enable the Arts Development Branch to work with New Brunswick's professional artists' associations in order to encourage them to increase production in the arts in the province, manage their finances responsibly, and develop economic initiatives that lead to self-sufficiency. Accordingly, its general objectives are to help New Brunswick professional artists' associations that develop the arts and craft throughout the province and to increase the production and dissemination of quality New Brunswick works of art and craft.

Provincial Community Arts Organizations
The purpose of the program is to enable the Arts Development Branch to work with New Brunswick's provincial community arts organizations in order to encourage them to increase production in the arts in the province, manage their finances responsibly, and develop economic initiatives that lead to self-sufficiency. Accordingly, its general objectives are to help New Brunswick organizations that develop the arts and craft throughout the province and to increase the production and dissemination of quality New Brunswick works of art and craft.

Atlantic Regional Organizations
The Atlantic Provinces recognize the need to support pan-Atlantic cultural organizations and regional events. As such, New Brunswick presently supports a number of these regional arts organizations and/or events because of the important artistic and economic impact they have on the Atlantic Provinces' cultural sector. The following Atlantic organizations receive operational or project support from New Brunswick: Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada, Arts Atlantic, Atlantic Presenters Association, Radarts, Contact East, FrancoFête en Acadie, Canadian Music Centre, Debut Atlantic, Confederation Centre of the Arts.
