ENV-Manure Stewardship Program

Objective
To improve manure storage on existing farms which pose a significant environmental risk to surface or ground water.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible projects include the construction, expansion or upgrading of non-earthen manure storage structures on existing livestock operations and the engineering costs associated with such projects.

Summary

The program will fund 50% of the cost of site evaluations, engineering plans and inspections and final certification, up to a maximum contribution of $5,000.

For the construction, expansion or upgrading of a non-earthen manure storage, the program will fund 50% of the approved cost on the first $40,000 of the project and 25% of the approved cost for the next $60,000 to a maximum contribution of $35,000.
