The Canadian Agriculture Library (CAL) is the single most important library in agriculture and food in Canada, providing a wide variety of traditional and innovative electronic information services.

Eligibility Criteria

Through its partnership with the Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (CISTI), the Canadian Agriculture Library provides the agri-food industry, the research and academic community and Canadians access to its collection.

Summary

The Canadian Agriculture Library holds a comprehensive collection in agriculture and food in Canada, with close to 1 million volumes, 4 000 current subscriptions and numerous special collections.

You can access electronic publications for a selection of the collection. The Library specializes in providing information on such subjects as:

  • dairying
  • entomology
  • horticulture
  • pesticides
  • plant diseases
  • soil science, and
  • veterinary medicine.
