Headquarters for the Provincial Veterinary Services is located on the grounds of the Research Station in Fredericton. Headquarters includes offices for administrative staff.

Veterinary field services provide on-farm clinical and preventative services on a 24 hour a day basis to clients having food/fur producing species as well as equine.

Summary

The Provincial Veterinary Laboratory plays an essential role in the monitoring and maintenance of animal health in New Brunswick. Services are available to assist veterinarians in diagnosing disease problems so that appropriate preventative, therapeutic and control regimens can be implemented.

The large animal veterinary clinic functions as a medical and surgical referral centre for both out-patient and in-clinic cases serving multiple large animal species in New Brunswick. Specialized equipment is available to aid in patient diagnosis. An attached barn provides facilities for 8 hospitalized patients.
