Hearings under The Residential Tenancies Act

The Office of Residential Tenancies provides the forum for residential landlords and tenants to resolve their disputes. The process is designed so that non-lawyers can present their own cases. Hearings are not subject to the same rules of evidence as the Courts.

There are different processes for various types of applications, and except for a tenant application for the return of a security deposit, (Form 12 - Tenant Ex Parte Application for Return of Security Deposit and Interest) they all begin with the same application form. (Form 9 - Application for Claim under The Residential Tenancies Act, 2006)
