Minister Clement Visits Detroit and Washington to Consult on Auto Industry

OTTAWA, November 18, 2008 — On Wednesday, November 19, the Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry, will visit Detroit, Michigan, to meet with executives from Chrysler LLC, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Corporation.

On Thursday, November 20, the Minister will visit Washington, D.C., to meet with officials to gather information on options being considered by the U.S. government to assist the automotive sector.

The Honourable Michael Bryant, Ontario's Minister of Economic Development, will join Minister Clement on the trip.
