J. Stephens Allan Appointed to the Board of Directors of the Canadian Tourism Commission

OTTAWA, March 3, 2008 — The Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for the Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC), today announced the appointment of J. Stephens Allan as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the CTC.

"I am pleased to welcome Mr. Allan as Chairperson of the Board and know that his senior management experience coupled with his financial background will help guide the CTC's Board over the next four years," said Minister Prentice.

Mr. Allan is currently Vice President at RSM Richter LLP, a Canadian accounting, business advisory and consulting firm. Previously, Mr. Allan has held the positions of Senior Consultant with Price Waterhouse Management Consultants, a partner in charge of special services with Collins Barrow, and Senior Vice President and Partner at Ernst & Young Inc. He is also the past president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta.

Mr. Allan is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Management Consultant and a Trustee in Bankruptcy.
