Research and Statistics
Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) conducts a wide range of research on Aboriginal and northern issues. This knowledge helps the federal government develop appropriate and effective policies and programs. It is also used by many other organizations. In this section, you can access information on a selection of research and statistics products produced by AANDC or in collaboration with external parties. These products communicate results and data to researchers working on Aboriginal and northern policy. They do not necessarily represent the views of AANDC.
You can also find information and frequently asked questions about the next iteration of the survey on Aboriginal peoples. The fourth generation of this survey is dedicated to obtaining information on education and employment for First Nation, Métis and Inuit populations across Canada.
