In order to fully review your complaint, the Taxpayers' Ombudsman may need to share information with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). We will only share information with your consent. The information collected is treated with confidentiality.

Once the Taxpayers' Ombudsman review is concluded, complaint files are retained for a maximum of five years. Under the provisions of the Privacy Act, you have the right to the protection of and access to your personal information and to request that changes be made to that information.
